Angelonia are also known as "summer snapdragons," since they grow as blooming spikes about 12-14" tall. However, angelonia is a lookalike plant ready to stand strong in landscapes long after the last snapdragon has wilted. They thrive in the intense heat and humidity of Kansas City summers. The fruity scent of angelonia is a bonus and is especially strong on hot summer evenings. The Archangel Angelonias have the largest blooms of any variety; the Serenita Angelonias feature more, but smaller blooms.
